About Alex
Alex Cruz is a REALTOR®, national real estate leader, and Executive Director of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance. Combining hands-on experience serving buyers and sellers with national leadership in advocacy, education, and professional development, Alex brings a unique perspective that bridges local expertise with national impact.
Since becoming a REALTOR® in 2015 with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Professional Realty, Alex has built his business on trust, integrity, and a client-first approach. He understands that buying or selling a home is one of life’s most significant decisions and is committed to providing knowledgeable guidance, honest advice, and exceptional service throughout every step of the process.
Beyond serving clients, Alex has become a respected voice within the real estate industry. As Executive Director of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, he leads the organization’s strategic vision, national advocacy efforts, educational programming, member engagement, and partnerships with industry organizations committed to expanding homeownership opportunities and strengthening the profession.
Alex previously served as the Alliance’s National Vice President and Director of Education & Professional Services, where he developed the nationally recognized Alliance Certified Ally course. He has educated thousands of real estate professionals across the country on fair housing, professionalism, and serving today’s increasingly diverse communities.
His commitment to the industry extends through leadership at the local, state, and national levels. Alex has served as a National Association of REALTORS® Director, continues to serve on NAR’s Conventional Financing and Policy Committee, is a member of the Ohio REALTORS® Board of Directors, and serves as both a local and state RPAC Trustee. These leadership roles allow him to stay engaged in the policies, trends, and issues shaping real estate nationwide, bringing valuable insight back to the clients and professionals he serves.
Before beginning his real estate career, Alex spent more than a decade leading retail operations for nationally recognized companies, overseeing large teams, business strategy, and customer experience. That background helped shape the leadership philosophy he carries today: lead with integrity, invest in people, and never stop learning.
Whether representing clients, speaking at conferences, teaching fellow REALTORS®, or collaborating with industry leaders, Alex is passionate about creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and helping move the real estate profession forward.
